POSITION INFORMATION

Datalogic Group is looking for a candidate joining the Group Infrastructure & Architecture team based in Datalogic HQ in Lippo di Calderara (BO).

Working closely with the entire ICT team, the position will play a key part in ongoing upgrades and consolidation of our core services such as:

Private & Public Cloud design Global Network design Branch Offices / Production Plant IT infrastructure design.

ROLE MISSION

The Infrastructure Architect will be in charge of defining, managing and maintaining the Global Network & Infrastructure architectures for the whole Datalogic Group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that the infrastructure designs are fit for purpose, well thought-through, clearly articulated, documented and compliant with standards, of good quality and can be delivered using an appropriate development methodology that aligns to the needs and constraints of the project. Produce and maintain high level designs or required documentation of all projects being by the Infrastructure Delivery team. Support the Project Managers, Product Owners and Security Team in defining the technical requirements in their engagements with various infrastructure providers. Assist the Manager in any other administrative or strategic/improvement initiatives. Provide 4th Line support expertise if needed to the rest of the Infrastructure team. Keep under control services and cost for the entire infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education (School/Specialization): Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Language: Fluent English, written and verbal communication Experience: 5-10 years of experience in multinational complex organizations with multiple manufacturing plant, cloud-based architecture.

OTHER INFORMATION & SPECIFIC SKILLS

Strong technical abilities and attention to detail with the ability to document the business case for proposed solutions. Ability to grasp issues of a business nature and explain technical issues in business language. Design reliable processes for installing / rebuilding existing servers, virtual infrastructure, network, configuring services, directories and enterprise storage. Identify and implement efficient and reliable system standards. Design Private & Public Cloud environments for service continuity and performance. Excellent knowledge of systems management, virtualization, storage, and networking. Excellent knowledge of MS Windows Platform, ADFS, SSO and Linux Experience in VMware virtualization suite and SD-WAN solutions technologies. Excellent knowledge of principal concept of networking on Layer 1, 2, 3 Good knowledge of network infrastructure (routing e switching) based on Cisco technology. Ability to deliver under pressure, liaise with multiple suppliers at deep technical levels and challenge various parties to arrive at a constructive outcome for the company. Good team working and communication. Proven flexibility and problem solving. International business travel availability.

Knowledge of Azure and GCP Cloud platform are considered a must.
