An internship or a Thesis in a Technical Sales Team focusing on Industrial or Automotive applications may be the role for you. Combine your technical skills with selling and marketing skills to help our customers solve their most challenging problems, and to develop and deliver innovative solutions. Technical Sales Engineers at TI work directly with customers to ensure TI technologies are in the world’s next-generation innovations. The topic of the Internship or Thesis can be adjusted together with your Mentor who will coach you during your time at TI.

Technical Sales Engineer Intern responsibilities include: 

Gain hands-on experience in the Technical Sales Engineer role and how we conduct business with our customers,Learn how our Technical Sales Engineers force engages with TI’s Business Units, System Team and Field Application Engineers to solve customer’s engineering challenges and generate revenue growth for TIWork on hands-on, challenging projects and have opportunities to present your findings to leaders, including running a market analysis, customer case studies, running a project kick off, choosing high growth accounts, and making a final intern presentation 

Thesis (optional):

Multiple thesis topics to choose, in alignment with the candidate interest and background. Focus of the thesis can be either on technical system level developments with the adoption of TI products, or business-oriented projects, targeting industrial or automotive applications such as EV charging, building and factory automation, electric vehicles and more. Throughout all the internship, in addition to the thesis project, the candidate will gain experience in the sales & application field, working at close contact with our customers.

The project thesis duties may include for instance:

Market analysis within specific sector (i.e. automotive, industrial and so on)Data management in semiconductor marketCRM – customer relationship managementAI applied to sales

Minimum Requirements:

Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related fieldsFluent in Italian and English, both written and oral communication skillsBasic knowledge and understanding of analog circuitry (examples include: op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications: 

French and/or Spanish language skills is a plusProgramming skills in Python is a plusAbility to effectively balance strong technical skills with solid relationship-building capabilities Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people across various functions Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
