Job Description:
Telespazio is looking for a candidate to join Satellite Capacity Trading department in Rome (Italy).
The candidate will be part of a team who have the main responsibility to buy and manage satellite capacities utilized for data and TV services provided to final customers.
The candidate will be reporting directly to the Head of Trading Capacity inside the Line of Business Satellite Communications at Telespazio S.p.A. in Rome.
The Line of Business Satellite Communications manages communications networks capable of integrating satellite and ground-based infrastructure, responding effectively to the requirements of business and institutional markets, media and broadcast sectors and global telecommunications operators.
Services provided includes Oil & gas, Utilities, Maritime and Telco sectors, for which Telespazio implements fixed and mobile broadband satellite services in Italy and abroad.
The candidate shall be able to manage the planning, to optimize and perform analyses of the satellite capacities requests coming from internal Data and TV Business Areas that are in change to sell services to final customers.
The unit shall be able to work with link budgets, technical analyses, design of satellite networks and to interface Satellite Operators.
The job has to be done with a strong focus on delivering a great service and product to our customers and ensure that we continuously reduce satellite capacities costs, pursuing best possible utilization of our assets.
The ideal candidate shall have a relevant educational background combined with hands on experience, with analysis skills in satellite capacity.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Knowledge of the satellite capacity market. Knowledge on principles and techniques for satellite communications (for data and video). Good knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge on satellite capacity identification, planning and acquisition. Knowledge on satellite RF link analysis, transponder utilization, and throughput optimization. Knowledge on Link budgets, Transmission Plans and standard tools for designing and assessing satellite communications transmissions. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and database management.BEHAVIORAL SKILLS
