Role Title: Insurance Telematics & Fleet Sales Sr Manager
Location: Varese, Italy
Role Purpose:
The individual will be responsible for managing, leading, and developing the Insurance Telematics sales team at Vodafone Automotive. This team consists of five members located across multiple countries, handling both direct and indirect sales. The individual will oversee generating over $20 million in annual revenue and approximately $12 million in new business. They will position our leading telematics solutions among insurance clients (for both products and services) and fleet operators. This role requires a deep understanding of the telematics and connected vehicle markets to develop effective sales strategies for digital insurance and fleet services. Additionally, they will be responsible for creating a robust sales pipeline and maximizing revenue opportunities. The individual will be responsible for owning and developing the global insurance telematics strategy across all markets and the fleet strategy in the EU5 region. They will manage and engage with VBI, Opco markets, and partner markets. The individual will be responsible for achieving margin targets, with customer satisfaction being a primary deliverable.

Impact on the Business : Achieves annual targets for revenue, margins, and new business total contract value (NB TCV). Strategy : Develops and agrees on the sales strategy for Insurance Telematics and Fleet, identifying opportunities and threats to maintain a market-leading position. Customers : Cultivates and sustains relationships with key accounts. Engages directly with key customers and opportunities to support pipeline closure and foster long-term relationships. Leadership & Teamwork : Attracts and nurtures sales talent by creating growth opportunities within the team. Motivates the sales team and allocates accounts and opportunities to maximize revenue growth. Ensures diversity and meets attrition targets within the sales team. Sales Management : Ensures the team’s adherence to sales methods and tools, aligning with other teams and functions across Vodafone. Manages interactions at all levels within Vodafone to secure full alignment and support.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in insurance telematics (automotive field knowledge is essential) and fleet management. Strong team management skills. High-level communication and negotiation abilities, both externally and internally. Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time. Degree qualification. Proficiency in IT, including Windows, MS Office, and Salesforce. Fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus).-
