About the role

Managing a broad range of complex compliance, legal and regulatory issues in the chemical and pharmaceuticals business. Cross-border and Compliance investigations experience essential. Fluency in Italian and English is necessary. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for the implementation of the Compliance Management System (CMS) in MCG EMEA's subsidiaries in Italy while supporting the implementation in other countries.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer, you will provide compliance advice across a wide range of activities and programs including:

Supporting the design of the EMEA Regional CMS and related initiatives and projects derived from it. Leading and conducting Compliance investigations in the Italy region, as well as in other countries within EMEA as required. Educating and training employees on compliance regulations and the impact of non-compliance on the organization. Collaborating with management to ensure compliance and supporting senior executives in compliance messaging. Performing routine risk assessments for understanding compliance risk, scope, and significance. Provide day-to-day management; drafting internal compliance governance; managing activities of Compliance coordinators on sites in the Italy region; responding to incidents; implementing improvement actions.

Your Qualifications and Skills

Fluency in Italian and English Considerable experience in a compliance department, legal department in-house and/or in an international law firm, law enforcement agency or audit firm dealing with a broad range of issues. Strong working knowledge of law and business operations and able to work effectively with governmental and competent authorities. Ability to translate difficult compliance issues into readily understandable concepts and achieve practical business solutions. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills including cross-borders, ideally with experience at global corporations with operations in Japan, Germany, United Kingdom, USA, Spain, and France
