As a Costing Manager at Dematic, your primary responsibility will be to support the successful implementation and ongoing development of the Quotation Management Application (QMA). Our QMA is a costing tool that consists of data related to components, design hours, and other cost factors that help us accurately cost our project-based solutions for our customers.

The role will see you collaborating with various stakeholders to drive efficiency, ensure we always have the most up-to-date cost data, reduce overspends or underspends, and support project estimations within the EMEA regions of Dematic.

Your role will also involve interfacing with global Solution Development (SD) disciplines driving improvements to the QMA tool and providing vital costing to the new solutions and projects ensuring customer satisfaction and the achievement of order intake targets.

For this unique position, we are seeking an experienced cost professional, ideally with a background in automated material handling solutions, or from similar environments where attribute cost data drives the business in making accurate quotations.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse costing data and collaborate with relevant disciplines to continuously improve the EMEA QMA costing model.

Update the EMEA maestro services catalogue and EMEA QMA calculations.

Communicate EMEA needs, prioritize bugs and enhancements, and advocate for improvements to the group's tools.

Focus on streamlining the costing process and aid in the development of harmonized standard costing using highly automated tools.

Provide training and assistance to users, diagnosing QMA issues as needed.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of maestro/QMA in the Quality Assurance (QA) environment.

Collaborate with software developers to define, schedule, and release enhancements to the QMA tool.

Facilitate the exchange of ideas, developments, and feedback within the Costing Community.

Offer project estimation support to the EMEA regions.

Interface with global roles, such as Global Solution Owner (GSO) and Global Product Specialist (GPS), to advocate for EMEA requirements.

Interact with other EMEA communities to drive harmonization across SD EMEA.

Update costing models by identifying trends, considering stakeholders' views, and recommending solutions to improve performance, order intake, and execution.

Collaborate with functional and global teams to support the delivery of global and regional costing-related priorities, fostering competitiveness and innovation.

Resolve complex operational matters, foster relationships, and always act with integrity.

Recommend solutions to improve performance and execution of the costing process within Solution Development (SD).

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience in a global, fast-paced, innovative engineering/technology company.

Proven track record of utilizing data and metrics to evaluate needs, drive change, and measure impact.

Strong analytical skills using tools such as Excel, SQL databases, and Power BI.

Demonstrated ability to build credibility and confidence with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Ability to navigate competing priorities, flexibility, and adaptability in a constantly changing business environment.

Strong Agile/Scrum experience is beneficial.

Customer-focused mindset with a track record of delivering results.
