What you can expect from us...

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our Content Technology Team at BurdaForward. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing the test and software quality processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality web applications. You will collaborate with the in-house development teams, providing support in manual and automated testing, and onboarding them to the testing process you help to design. Your goal will be to maintain code quality, enhance the production system uptime, and establish effective processes that promote software quality while being user-friendly. Taking technical responsibility, you will uphold the platform's high technical standards. Design and implement the test and software quality process within the teams Write and assist with manual and automated testing, encompassing both UI and API testing Onboard the in-house development teams to the testing process and help implement the necessary tooling Support developers in maintaining code quality and ensuring production system uptime Establish processes to uphold software quality and usability for otherTake technical responsibility for maintaining a high technical quality of the platform

What we would expect from you...

Proficiency in Web-Test technologies, including Postman, REST API testing, test automation, and familiarity with TDD principles. Must have test automation experience (minimum 5 years), experience with Playwright or Selenium or cypress is a plus. ISTQB certification is a plus. Experience in web development is highly desirable. (Typescript, Javascript, Vue.js, Solid.js, Expess, Node.js) Previous experience working in agile teams. Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams. Strong desire for solving complex technical challenges. Good English communication skills. Proficiency in German or Italian (or both) is a plus.
