We are looking for a brilliant MSL & Medical Advisor with a strong scientific background and experience in the role to be hired within the Medical Affairs Department.

The role of the MSL & Medical Advisor is dedicated on the maintenance and development of the main relationships with the principal medical scientific experts as well as actively working on the development of clinical research projects in the Headquarter.

Directly reporting to the Medical Affairs Head, the candidate will support mostly the medical/scientific programs of Medac Pharma in the Hematology and Uro-oncology area and will tightly collaborate with his/her colleagues of the Market Access and Regulatory Departments.

The MSL & Advisor will collaborate with clinicians and other scientific experts to present and develop research projects and clinical trials that Medac design in the above-mentioned fields. He/She will also collaborate and support the colleagues of the Field Force in presenting data and information on the specific products.

The MSL & Medical Advisor main objectives include:

  • Maintaining and developing relationships and collaborations with a panel of National and Regional KOL's in the field of Hematology and Uroncology, representing the main point of contact for any medical/scientifical topics
  • Developing, promoting and coordinating clinical and scientific research projects as well as new projects in the therapeutical areas of interest
  • Supporting the Field Force colleagues in their relationship with KOLs through scientific trainings of the new literature of the main products, new clinical indication and scientific evidences
  • Presenting and discussing clinical and research data with the Field Force during hospital meetings in the national reference centres
  • Supporting the Medical Affairs team on the evaluation of national new clinical studies feasibility as well as managing the critical situations in on-going clinical studies
  • Discussing and evaluating with KOLs new opportunities in the design of IIT- Investigators Initiated Trials - in the assigned territory

Key responsibilities of the MSL & Medical Advisor involve:

  • Developing and maintaining collaborations with the main scientific societies
  • Supporting the Medical Affairs Head in the development of scientific contents of product portfolio
  • Gathering information on clinical development from the territory to the head quarter in order to discuss the appropriate strategies in the mentioned therapeutic areas
  • Ensuring continuous alignment with Field Force team
  • Supporting Market Access colleagues to introduce the company products in the regional therapeutic plans

Interact, when needed, with the Global Medical Affairs Department as well as his/her peers in the other countries on the scientific product development

Job Location: the role is based in Rome with 50% of the time dedicated on field activities in the assigned territory (Central South Italy)

Who you are:

  • Deep knowledge of the key MSL activities and processes with solid experience in similar role in Italy, preferentially in the ematology or uro-oncology areas
  • Medical or scientific degree (e.g. MD, PhD, PharmaD)
  • Previous experience in clinical research or Post doc will be considered as a plus
  • High level of external customer relations management skills (KOLs, specialists)
  • Knowledge of clinical trials in GCP and interpretation of data from clinical trials and research programmes
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic vision
  • Good attitude in team building with the colleagues of the Field Force and HQ
  • Dynamic person with a strong commitment to values
  • Fluent knowledge of the English language
  • Good command of the Office package (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
