Application Engineer

LOCATION: Italy : we have an office in  Lecco and Genoa  with the possibility to work in smartworking or full remote.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent, full time

Roles & Responsibilities ATS is currently seeking a suitable candidate to assist with the design, build, installation, commissioning and support of automation and control projects for manufacturers in Italy.

This role will work from user requirements specifications to create functional  design specifications , before taking part in factory acceptance tests, site installation, commissioning, production of operation and training manuals, and customer training.

YOUR PROFILE

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in  Computer Science ,  Engineering  or related field of study. 4 years  of experience in a similar role. A knowledge of  Manufacturing Processes, MES & Industrial IT  would also be advantageous in this role. An ability to self-manage the delivery of automation projects in line with an agreed FDS is critical to this position. The candidate should be an excellent communicator and be able to present ideas clearly and effectively both internally and externally. Candidates should be motivated and capable of the development and application of skills in new and existing technologies. Enthusiasm and a desire for success are character traits we are seeking as is the ability to show leadership and sensible decision making when required

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

4+ years  of experience in the design, development and maintenance of cross-platform solutions for high-performance, high-availability software systems. Good Knowledge of  PLC, SCADA  (Wincc and/or Ignition) Excellent Knowledge of  Siemens Opcenter MES Solutions or Simatic IT Experience with different databases is essential (MS SQL/ Oracle/ MySQL …etc.) Experience with Machine Communication for manufacturing industries.

GOOD TO HAVE KNOWLEDGE

Experience in  configuring , building and redistributing of third-party libraries for embedded/Linux and Microsoft Windows. Web Development experience such as  HTML5, JQuery, JavaScript, ExtJS, SignalR Mid level of proficiency in Microsoft .NET technologies Knowledge of  Siemens Opcenter APS Knowledge of  Sepasoft  products

The candidate will provide technical expertise related to the use of  Siemens/Inductive Automation  products and will work to understand customer requirements, develop technical solutions and support the customer for a successful deployment to production.
