Program Manager
Program Manager will report to BU Program Management Manager and will work within Business Unit Team.
The Role is responsible for ensuring Portfolio Roadmap alignment with Business Goals through the adoption of adequate processes and tools, contributing in ensuring project compliance with Budget and Timing constraints, fostering cross-functional collaboration across teams and securing Stakeholder Buy-in towards Business Goals. The Program Manager will contribute in the improvement of Projects’ Performance and Facilitate Decision Making through an effective Governance and fact-based reporting.
Main activities:
Manage and lead a Program Core team, consisting of representatives across all functions within the organization. Oversee plans, schedules and budgets to ensure objectives are accomplished within the required time frame, budget and product cost parameters. Must demonstrate ownership and leadership to get the job done. Manage Program from concept initiation to full production delivery, interfacing with internal customers and department personnel. Create, plan and manage program budgets. Create and manage program schedules. Working with functional managers to establish WBS tasks with schedule and resources assignments for each phase of the program. Organize program activities and interdepartmental meetings. Ensure that correct processes are followed. Assess risks and create risk management strategy contingency plans.Technical Skills:
Ability to create and manage complex schedules in MS Project; Project and Product Portfolio Management (PPM) tool usage experience is a plus; Spreadsheet and data analysis and presentation skills. Must have the ability to understand and distill a complex picture into a clearly communicated summary; Basic understanding and use of SAP desired; Solid understanding of Stage and Gate process, preferential the knowledge of lean methodologies.Soft Skills:
Results-driven mentality for a business-focused way of thinking; Timely reporting of roadblocks, to avoid getting stuck and loosing efficiency; Decision-making mindset, especially within tight time constraints and possible limited information; Strong interpersonal skills and capabilities to interact and negotiate with people of different languages and cultures; strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands; The role requires occasional travels to global destinations including the USA.Requirement:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other Scientific Area Languages: Italian (mother tongue or proficient); English ( Mother tongue or proficient, since the role requires international complex interactions on daily basis). Experience: a proven track record of successfully implementing projects including 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager managing large, time critical and significantly complex projects in a high-tech industry (Hardware / Software) with multi-function teams. Nice to have: PMP Certification is highly desired.-
