Factory Buyer

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Buyer is a key Professional in our Factories Purchase function. Her/His responsibilities will include
processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, creating and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance and liaising with Production & Operations teams and management Strong relations and frequent contacts with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand. He/she is involved in :
Research, select and purchase quality products and materials Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing Process requisitions and update management on status of orders Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management Compliance with Panasonic’s Policies, Processes, and Procedures Partaking of all corporate requirements ISM. CSR, Antibribery & Corruption, Competition Law

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

University degree in financial/economic studies or similar education and experience 3-4 years commercial finance experience, preferably in a factory environment with solid understanding of financial statements and book keeping Excellent level of English and Italian, French also appreciated Ability to interpret data and interact with all levels of organization Very Good knowledge in Microsoft applications, especially in Excel Critical thinking and negotiation skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Occasional domestic and/or international travel
