At Cosentino (www.cosentino.com) we are looking for an Operation Manager located in Firenze, who will have the opportunity to work in a multinational environment, in full expansion, surrounded by numerous challenging projects that you can be part of.
The Operations Coordinator oversees and supervises warehouse employees and drivers to make sure all items are prepared, shipped, and received on time while complying with company policy. They act as a liaison between workers and management and report on shipping activities and issues.
What you will do
On this position there will be different fronts you are going to be working with:
Logistics:
- Prepare appropriate documentation for loading and unloading trucks and containers.
- Organize and maintain delivery schedule daily with efficiency route planning.
Quality and Safety Control:
- Responsible for quality control by reviewing all incoming and outgoing product for damage.
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis.
- Lead and maintain a safe working area ensuring that Health and Safety processes and procedures are met.
Administration:
- Assist with system order entry when needed, as well as customer delivery schedules.
- Responsible for inventory management and control.
- Able to enter orders into SAP, interact with customers, load/unload products, and move product within the warehouse as needed.
Professional Experience:
- 3+ years of operational and people management experience in logistic.
- 1+ inventory management experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Desired: SAP.
Knowledge:
- Building materials market.
- High level of English.
- Any further language such as Spanish would help to execute internal/external communications, however, is not a must.
Academical Background:
- Completed High School or equivalent (at least).
- Desired: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or related field.
