Job Title :

FW/SW Designer/Architect

Purpose of the job:

• Design firmware/software components and implement them;
• Deliver firmware/software solutions for electronic product development within on board railway systems;
• Ensure QCD management on software development activities;
• Support products functionality validation, on test bench and on train.

Responsibilities:

• Defines the firmware/software requirements specification, starting from product and/or system requirements.
• Develop software components:
- Perform the software components (including drivers, OS, ...) detailed design & coding;
- Set up the software development tool chain;
- Specify, design, prepare and perform tests and verifications of his/her deliverables;
- Put software work products under configuration management;
- Support software/hardware integration, together with the other software/hardware designers;
- Write the SW Quality Documentation.
• Defines the functional requirements, operational requirements, interfaces requirements and the requirements linked to SW performance aspects.
• Ensure QCD commitment.
• Contribute to standardization by reusing existing solutions or by implementing reusable solutions, including COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf);
• Supports sustaining of the SW during the life cycle of the trains.
• Participates in critical task-force dedicated to troubleshooting when needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement (RoE: Return on Experience, process, …);
• Keep informed of the evolution of technologies through techno watch.

Mandatory:

Master’s degree in electronic engineering.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in development of FW/SW in industrial contest and 1 year in railway domain.

Desirable:

Experience in product development having functional safety requirements (EN50126, EN50567, EN50128, ,…). Experience in product development having cyber security requirements, Experience in product development having high availability requirements, Experience in product development having real time requirements,

Competencies & Skills

Ability to work transversally with Engineering teams Ability to use different OS and SW tools for design/validation ( Studio, WEC7 OS, Linux OS, QA-MISRA, Cantata, …) Ability to code in C, C++ Programming languages. Object oriented programming Practical skill in electronics for design and debug of firmware ( OS customization, drivers for peripherals, ...) Railways Standard ( EN50657, EN50128, EN50155) Technical decision management Design for Quality life cycle English communication skills
