Role Summary

We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Security Engineer who will work alongside our existing InfoSec team.

Duties & Responsibilities

Cyber Security Management: Oversees the cybersecurity aspects of an information system or network including managing information security processes and procedures

Security Monitoring: Use defensive measures and information collected from a variety of sources to identify, analyze, and report events that occur or might occur within the network to protect information, information systems, and networks from threats.

Vulnerability Management: Conducts assessments of threats and vulnerabilities; determines deviations from acceptable configurations, assesses the level of risk and develops and/or recommends appropriate mitigation countermeasures in operational and nonoperational situations.

Secure Architectures & Designs: evaluation of the current security level of the cyber security architecture with respect to the main industry standards/best practices and vendor market landscape, and definition of new architectural models (e.g. Zero Trust)/technology component and solutions, from network security, to threat prevention and cyber defense, favoring the reduction of the risk of Cyber incidents

Day To Day Activities

Cyber Security Incident Handling

Interaction with the customer

Review of the scan results from the vulnerability management tools (Qualys and Skybox Security) presenting results and providing suggestions to remediate

Attend meeting and report information to the stakeholders (taking minutes and providing monthly reports)

Possible review of processes and procedures according to the changes of the contract

This is NOT a compliance role.

Essential Criteria

Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber security operations

Solid expertise in cyber security incident handling, vulnerability management

Good knowledge of technology solutions related to log ingestion, vulnerability management and SIEM

Excellent technical background with reference to aspects of internetworking, network security and knowledge of system level in Windows and Unix

Degree in technical/scientific subjects

Fluent knowledge of English language

Information Security Administration: Knowledge of information security administration; ability to develop and apply an organization's information security policies, standards and procedures ensuring the integrity and safety of information.

Information Security Technologies: Knowledge of technologies and technology-based solutions dealing with information security issues; ability to protect information security across the organization using encryption technologies and appropriate security software.

Network and Internet Security: Knowledge of the tools and processes for maintaining network and Internet security; ability to develop and safeguard intrusion and unauthorized access to network.

IP Network Engineering: Knowledge of the processes, tools, and techniques for IP network engineering; ability to utilize and manage IP applications for the construction, operations and support of IP-based networks and infrastructure.

Virtualization Services: Knowledge of the issues, regulations, business practices, and operations of virtualization services; ability to create and support a virtual environment that separates the physical infrastructure from the logical processing.
