R & D Engineer

In coordination with High Efficiency Tubular Heat Exchanger R&D Manager is responsible for existing product development (EPD) and new product development (NPD)

Tasks:

1)In synergy with the other functions (engineering, sales, manufacturing) redesign and optimizes EPDs on the basis of feedback from the field, competitive analysis etc.

2)In synergy with product management function and innovation team monitors market trends for NPD development

3)Develop and coordinate the development of NPD’s using own or external competences

4)In synergy with engineering manager and Alfa Laval patent office monitors the development of patents from third parties and promotes the development of new patents

5)Supports Bid Engineering function for product continuous improvement during the bidding phase

Support sales and product management in discussions with customers, participates to conferences and exhibitions, prepare technical papers

Requirements

1)Bachelor degree or Master of Science in Thermal/Energy Engineering with 3+ years experience in S&T heat exchanger companies

2)Deep knowledge of heat exchange, fluid-dynamics and thermo-hydraulic basics

3)Creative and analytical mindset and problem solver

4)Team working and competence sharing

5)Italian / English language

a.Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

b.Computer Aided Design (CAD)

c.Numerical simulation, calculation tools development

d.HTRI and TEMA standards
