RINA is currently recruiting for a Carbon Reduction Engineer  to join its office in Genova, Italy within the ESG & Sustainability Division.

Mission

The Environment & Climate Change Unit of RINA is looking for a Carbon Reduction Engineer who will support players of the energy, industrial and services sector in the quantification of their GHG emissions and in the identification of decarbonization and energy transition action plans, both at corporate and at product level. #LI-MP3

Key Accountabilities

assist clients in the development and implementation of projects related to quantification and reduction of GHG emissions and climate change mitigation;  support the execution of energy assessments, carbon footprints/life cycle analyses, literature reviews on energy transition topics;  follow up evolving regulatory requirements relating to GHG emissions and energy transition;  provide technical advice to ad-hoc queries from clients and internal staff as needed;  work in International, EU and R&D projects;  meeting with clients, needs analysis and collaboration/coordination with technical teams;  drafting and preparation of technical proposals. 

Qualifications

at least 2 years of experience in technical activities related to GHG emissions, energy transition or climate change mitigation; 

passion and interest in learning and giving contribution in the energy transition field; 

ability to write well-structured and well-reasoned reports, proposals and documents will be considered a plus; 

very good level of English, both spoken and written; 

knowledge of additional languages will be considered a plus; 

availability for short business trips within and outside EU.

Education

Master Degree in Engineering, preferably Energy Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
