QA Engineer

Job Description (including duties, skills, education):

Seeking an experienced, self-motivated Automation Engineer with a background in manual testing. The successful candidate should have a strong aptitude for learning new technologies, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build automated tests and/or infrastructure for complex projects. Primarily, your focus will be creating and executing both manual and automated tests for the iOS Research app study content and functionality and maintaining an existing python-based automation framework that supports multiple projects. You will be working closely with Clinical, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that product quality and user experience is consistent with other Client products. You will also contribute to the test effort as needed, usually close to major milestones. Strong collaboration with Engineering teams and an ability to thrive under pressure is essential.

You will:

Create and maintain automated tests based on established test plans and as needed for new features and defect investigations

Document test plans/test cases and other testing procedures

Execute test cases, document product defects and report testing results

Participate in cross-functional email and group project discussions

Required experience:

2+ years’ experience automating iOS software (Python, XCUI experience highly desired)

5+ years’ experience testing mobile application software (iOS preferred)

Proactive, requires limited direction

Ability to define, execute and automate comprehensive test suites in the absence of detailed specs/documentation

Experience working directly with Software Engineering, Project Management and other cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria and report quality metrics

Experience working both independently and within a team on multiple, simultaneous product/feature releases

Experience with UNIX-based systems for debugging and analysis

Creative thinker and passionate about quality
