Verisure is seeking an innovative and passionate Public Affairs Manager. This position will report to our Legal Director and will play a key role in strengthening and developing Verisure Italy Public Affairs strategy.

The role will interact closely with Public Affairs Cluster/Group function and the Legal, Communication, IT and Operations team at local level.

Main areas of responsibility

We are looking for an experienced Public Affairs professional who is as excited to make a constructive impact on Private Security regulation, tech, and sustainability policy.

Core responsibilities of this position will include:

Lead engagement with local, regional and national government and parliament, public officials and third parties with regard to all legislative and regulatory processes for the private security sector, as well as online platforms, data, tax and sustainability policies.

In close collaboration with Group, and local Legal, communications and Operations departments, develop the PA strategy that supports our commercial objectives and manages risk

Coordinate our PA strategy with our Public Affairs consultants and lead our relation with them.

Proactively spot opportunities to shape policies and legislation to the advantage of the business

Support and advise the business on expansion and launch projects of new services

Build constructive relationships with regulators and governments, ensure Verisure is recognised as the thought leader on the Private Security Sector

Lead on research and drafting of written submissions to consultations and position papers

Provide strategic insight to the business on government policy and trends, developments from political parties, local government and think-tanks

Required Qualifications:

Legal & Comms background/studies

Have a minimum of 6-8 years of regulatory and public policy experience, preferably in the security, digital or tech sector and/or working in government.

Are experienced in developing creative and effective public policy campaigns that underpin the company’s business objectives

Have excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to adapt the message to political and regulatory audiences

Have outstanding organizational abilities, in particular, the capacity to manage several different work streams at one time, proactively drive work programmes forward and coordinate the involvement of relevant stakeholders

Have experience with managing sensitive reputational issues and/or crises

Languages: Fluency in Italian and English is required. Spanish is a plus.
