**As Mechanical Designer, You Must Be Able To**
- Actively contribute to the identification of existing design issues on existing products and provide solutions for improvement.
- Updating components/assemblies/tables and bills of materials on 3D CAD for existing products and creating working drawings, defining materials, dimensions, and tolerances; modifying current models and creating new revisions.
- Harmonizing bills of materials on 3D CAD and company management software.
- Designing and developing components necessary for production (assembly tools, supports for measuring instruments in the testing phase).
- Independently designing new prototypes necessary for development activities, from conception to the creation of working drawings and assembly/testing if necessary.
- Use and management of 3D printers for the creation of prototypes and for production.
- Product documentation management (coding, bill of materials creation, production cost calculation, assembly/testing instructions)
- Creation of documentation required for quotes on special products.
- Continuous communication between external mechanical workshops (including foreign ones), Production, and the Purchasing Department.
**What Makes You An Asset To Our Team**
- Minimum educational qualification: Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- In-depth knowledge of 2D/3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor)
- Technical knowledge of processing for metals, plastics, and composite materials (molding, welding, turning, bending, milling, CNC, etc.), surface treatments
- ability to translate requests into solutions (innovative, cost-effective, robust)
- familiarity with prototype assembly and functional characterization testing (in the laboratory and in the field); data analysis skills
- 2-3 years of previous experience in similar roles
**The Following Requirements Will Be Considered Preferential**
- Experience in mechanical design of systems with sliding parts on high-precision guide elements.
- Experience in the design of sealing systems, use of commercial and customized gaskets to meet specific requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Navision
- Knowledge of materials engineering
- Ability to model/simulate using dedicated software (preferably Comsol Multiphysics); FEM analysis
- Knowledge of business processes and project vision (research and development, design, prototyping, engineering, production, calibration, and testing)
- Willingness to travel abroad for field validation, participation in seminars/trade shows, and contact with suppliers/customers
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English, minimum B1
- Critical thinking, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in designing field measurement instruments (including from other application sectors)
- Up-to-date technical skills focused on continuous product improvement and the design of new innovative products
- Knowledge of MEMS sensors (primarily accelerometers and inclinometers) and industrial sensors (strain gauges, potentiometers, Wheatstone bridges, pressure sensors, magnetostrictive sensors, optical sensors, Pt100, NTC, etc.)
- Metrological training (calibration, metrological confirmation, measurement uncertainty, accuracy, repeatability, resolution, etc.)
