About the Role:


In the contest of the highly dynamic and international environment within Ferrero, and in collaboration with the direct responsible and together with other laboratories and units, the candidate will lead a Rheological/Physical laboratory dedicated on the physical analyses on raw materials, semi-finished goods and products focused on the continuous improvement of the methods as well as the development of new types of analyses and predictive tools.

Main Responsibilities:

- Supervision and management of the ongoing research projects ensuring on-time, reliable results. Manage the day to day activity of the Lab taking care of timing, priority of tasks/projects and budget constraints.
- Support other units in the definition of tailored research studies. Eventually establish and manage collaborations with external scientific institutions in order to get the most up to date status of the art (i.e. Universities, Research Centers, Laboratories)
- Plan and control the budget of Lab investment (CAPEX and OPEX) with particular attention on the improvement of new technology and analytical devices.
- Carry out targeted up-to-date analyses of the scientific literature (including patents)
- Ensure effective delivery and valorisation of the research outcomes into day-to-day business
- Contribute to define new methods of analysis and disseminate them in the Ferrero environment.

Who we are looking for:

- Master Degree in in Life Sciences faculties (i.e. Biotech, Food Science/Technology, Biochemistry, Pharma, …)
- PhD is considered as a plus
- 2-3 years of analytical laboratory experience
- Experience in project management is a nice to have
- Experience in managing external collaboration is considered a plus
- Excellent Data Analysis proficiency is considered as mandatory for the role. The ability of managing multivariable datasets will be considered a plus
- High fluency in English (written and spoken)
