Customer Sales/Business Development - Outside

Our client specializes in cross-border transportation and offers a range of services including LTL and TL shipping to destinations throughout Canada and the United States.

VP of Sales - NVOCC

Our client is seeking a VP of Sales specializing in NVOCC. This individual will develop their team and department, as well as establish lines of communication with their clients.

Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for revenue growth and market share penetration by closing new deals with large and enterprise customer accounts.
  • Conduct outside sales meetings and close new deals.
  • Prepare and deliver sales pitches and presentations to nationwide large and enterprise customer accounts.
  • Develop and execute a business plan that generates hyper-revenue growth and exceeds sales quotas set by the company.
  • Engage continuously with customers to maintain close relationships and ensure ongoing success with accounts.
  • Develop and train a sales team.
  • Travel required.
Experience:
  • 5 years or more of NVOCC experience is required.
  • A candidate with an existing book of business will be additionally compensated.
  • The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented and innovative in developing and implementing successful sales strategies.
  • Experience in selling to freight forwarders, NVOCCs, 3PL, and warehouse providers.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills required.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to overcome objections.
  • Accountability and ability to prioritize daily tasks.

This position offers a competitive base salary.
