Responsibilities

The Analyst will be part of Société Générale CIB M&A team based in Milan.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Building complex financial models and completing valuation, mergers and other analytical exercises.
  • Drafting presentations for M&A transactions or strategic client dialogue.
  • Working closely with the team to create client deliverables and meet ad-hoc client requests.
  • Collaborating with various industries, countries, and other products’ colleagues during origination and execution stages.
  • Performing industry and company research to support business development and on an ad-hoc basis.

Profile required

Studies & experience:

  • A well-rounded academic background from a top-tier educational institution.
  • Prior work experience in Investment Banking at a recognized Investment Bank or advisory boutique.

Language skills:

  • Native/advanced level of Italian.
  • Proficiency in English.

Technical, operational & Soft skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Technically proficient in financial modeling (DCF, Multiples, Merger model, LBO model).
  • Analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
