Offer Description
The research will focus on the documentation and spatial analysis of Late Middle to Early Upper Palaeolithic sites within the ERC Last Neanderthals project. Activities will include excavation recording and archaeological field survey; topographic surveying using total stations and GNSS; GIS database development and management; photographic and photogrammetric documentation; and 3D surveying of caves, including point cloud acquisition and processing. Spatial data will be validated, analysed and integrated with archaeological, chronological and palaeoenvironmental evidence to investigate site organisation and landscape use. The work will also contribute to shared recording procedures, thematic mapping, research reports and scientific publications in collaboration with the project team
