SMS group S.p.A. is an Italian company wich can count more than 500 employees in three different location of Tarcento (Udine), San Donato Milanese (Milan) and Genoa, with its wide technical expertise, is specialized in the production of innovative and turn-key plants, such as hot and cold rolling mills for flat products, process lines, reheating furnaces and heat treatment lines, rolling mills for long products, meltshops and continuous casting machines.

Our Center of Excellence Electrics/Automation is looking for a

Automation Engineer YOU ACT
  • The development of automation solutions mainly focus to equipment control: VVVF motors, Hydraulic unit and stands, MCC, safety management for plants of rolling mills and processing lines;
  • Takeover of the programming Lev1 software and the associated tests including the functional commissioning at our customer’s premises;
  • Participation and leading of meetings with SMS internal team, Customers, Sub-Suppliers.
YOU KNOW
  • Graduate or Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with fundamental knowledge in Power supply, Drives, Motors, Instrumentation’s;
  • Proof of programming competence in the PLC Automation-Systems (S7-TIA , S7-400);
  • Analytical competence and ability to work in a team;
  • Very good English language skills;
  • Knowledge of MS Office;
  • Willingness to travel worldwide;
  • Drive license.
