Announcement of Position Opening Moog Italiana, founded in 1975 and part of Moog Inc., a world leader in providing high-performance motion control solutions, is seeking candidates for the position of: Mechanical Engineer The resource will be responsible for designing Ball and Roller Screws based on customer specifications and drawings. This role involves providing technical support to Moog Applications groups and External Customers in the development of special applications where ball and/or roller screws are key components. Responsibilities include researching and developing new designs, defining technical choices and special processes for the manufacturability of new products, participating in testing campaigns and data analysis. The resource will be required to work autonomously in line with the company's strategy and supervisor's guidelines. Principal Accountabilities of the Job

  • Define tasks priorities with the supervisor and manage their execution within the agreed schedule
  • Design standard and customized products to meet customers' needs and Moog's quality requirements
  • Perform mechanical engineering calculations to support product design or specific projects
  • Successfully bring new products to production and provide technical documentation in a timely and quality manner
  • Collaborate with other Moog Technical and Application groups to provide design support for complex solutions and interact with external resources
  • Apply Moog standards and procedures in task execution
  • Contribute to improving design and development tools and lean project involvement
  • Provide daily support to production to solve problems, improve quality, and reduce costs
  • Support sales in the technical aspects of customer management and proposing the right solutions
Special Circumstances The resource may need to visit customers or suppliers with colleagues to collect technical data, understand specific needs, or address special requests. Special projects and activities from other Moog locations may require the resource's expertise. Working with resources outside Italy may necessitate coordination in a multicultural environment and travel to other Moog locations. The incumbent must be capable of arranging short-term tasks and seek supervisor support for longer and more complex projects. Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 3 years of progressive post-education experience in mechanical construction
  • High level of mechanical knowledge and understanding of Product Development Processes
  • Good command of English
