AMER Logistics Specialist, Global Transportation and Logistics Job ID: 3112941 | Amazon.com Services LLC - A57 Amazon OTS Supply Chain Global Transportation and Logistics is searching for an experienced Logistics Specialist to oversee carrier performance management throughout the Americas region. The successful candidate will work closely with transportation providers to manage performance metrics and introduce innovative service offerings that drive business value. This role requires extensive collaboration with global and local business teams to create and implement effective supply chain solutions for both current operations and new programs. Using data-driven analysis, the position will focus on maintaining and enforcing rigorous performance standards for OTS carriers, while also managing Amazon's internal IT inventory transportation requirements. The ideal candidate will develop and implement solutions to enhance OpsTech Solutions/' operational efficiency and scalability, providing vital support to regional operations partners across the network. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on Amazon/'s logistics operations while working with diverse stakeholders throughout the organization. Key responsibilities Conduct deep dive analysis of performance combining internal and external data sources Systematically resolve problems with data integrity and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered Work with senior leadership in conducting carrier MBRs and QBRs Report key business health metrics and observations in business reviews Quickly understand the business impact of trends and make data-driven decisions Prioritize, optimize and deliver timely updates for all key metrics Graphically visualize data to allow easy access to large sets of information for a broad range of people Develop automation solutions for reports, tools and processes Deliver operational improvements using a data-driven approach to root cause analysis and solution design Maintain continual tactical communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (OTS, Finance, Regional Logistics, OTS Rapid Asset Deployment Centers) Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs while measuring and identifying activities performed A day in the life / Benefits Amazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children. Basic Qualifications Bachelor/'s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field Experience in program or project management Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.) Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques Experience in supply chain Preferred Qualifications Master/'s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement documents Knowledge of SQL 2+ years of program or project management experience 2+ years of supply chain experience Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
