HR Manager – People, Talent & Organizational Development

Institute Itech is legally incorporated (USA, Italy) and is building a human-centered, research-driven organization with international reach.
We are seeking an HR Manager to design, implement, and manage the human resources framework of Institute Itech during its early-stage development and beyond.
This role is central to shaping the company's talent strategy , organizational structure , recruitment processes , and people culture , ensuring alignment with research excellence, innovation, and ethical standards.
The HR Manager will work directly with the CEO and leadership team and will progressively build the HR function as the organization scales.
HR Strategy & Organization
Define and implement the overall HR strategy aligned with Institute Itech's mission and growth plans
Support the definition of career paths, leadership tracks, and succession planning Recruitment & Talent Management
Manage recruitment for strategic roles (C-level, managers, researchers, engineers, designers)
Coordinate onboarding, integration, and probation processes Policies, Compliance & Governance
Draft and manage HR policies, internal regulations, codes of conduct, and NDAs
Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR regulations (EU / international)
Coordinate with legal, payroll, and external HR advisors Performance & Culture
Support leadership in conflict management and organizational well-being HR Development & Scaling
Build HR documentation, templates, and operational processes
Prepare the organization for future scale (contracts, benefits, training programs)
Support the evolution toward a structured HR Department Requirements 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, Talent Management, or Organizational Development Strong knowledge of HR processes, recruitment, and people management
Understanding of labor law and HR compliance (Italy or EU frameworks)
Ability to work autonomously in early-stage and research-driven environments
Fluency in English (Italian is a strong plus) Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with international or remote team management
Knowledge of performance management systems and HR analytics
