We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the electrical design development for NPDI Thermal Management Solutions, acting like a champion within the electrical design Engineering team.

What kind of work will you be doing?

  • Work specifically in the field of Electrical CAD design and component selection to ensure all electrical aspects of the product are designed and documented in line with the expectations of production, service, and the customer.
  • Act as a champion for the NPDI electrical designers’ team, overseeing the development of electrical elements of Data Centre cooling products or improving the existing ones based on specific client's needs.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, time, and cost targets; implement the best compromise between market requirements, production, and industrialization links.
  • Support product production implementation across locations, interfacing with main centers of expertise, understanding, and managing bill of materials.
  • Interface with other departments.
  • Work with Product Management and ETO (Engineer to Order) teams as required to satisfy business requirements (usually customer projects).

What will make you successful?

  • Highly competent in MCAD and ECAD design for electrical product features, undertaking direct responsibility for the choice and sizing of the main electrical components for standard and special products.
  • Experience working with electrical schematics in a relevant CAD package.
  • Ensure appropriate CE/EMC or UL/ETL compliances are met for electrical design and component selection.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable design information is shared with all internal and external customers.
  • Strong involvement in the product prototyping and testing phase.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of the technical documentation coordinating in-house and outsourced resources.
  • Ability to manage marketing requests and work with multiple departments.
  • Ability to manage bill of materials (ERP and PLM).
  • Ability to understand refrigerant circuits and related standards.
  • Interface with the sales network, suppliers, and production departments.
  • Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
