We are looking for an experienced Head of Internal Control who will join the Group Finance & Controlling organization to manage and set the direction for the group's internal control framework around the world, reporting directly to the Marelli Group Chief Financial Officer. T his position is based in Milan, Italy, or any of our European locations - we are open to international applicants within the European time zone. In this position, you will significantly contribute to the business’s success creating and assuring a strong internal controls environment through the development of policies, their implementation, and monitoring compliance with the law and internal standards . As Head of Internal Control, you will: Develop, shape, and oversee groups' internal controls agenda and programs. Lead design, implementation, and monitoring of global internal controls, including Marelli's framework, policy, procedures, and key risks. Serve as advisor and the point of contact for the company's leaders, process owners, and external and internal auditors on all matters related to the internal controls environment. Own and deliver the group's internal control and compliance plan, focusing on improving control design and operational effectiveness over critical strategic and operational areas. Deliver adequate and timely reporting and action plans to control deficiencies to business partners, senior leadership, and Marelli Group. Develop Marelli's' compliance culture' work with countries and division representatives to ensure knowledge and understanding of risk. Guarantee the effective implementation of actions that result from internal control assessments by partnering with global and local process owners. Monitor and lead the response to the changing business environment, services, legislations, or internal findings that may impact the company and identify areas of opportunity for process improvement. What You Will Bring 10+ years of financial and business controls advisory experience in multinational publicly listed companies or big four audit firms. Proven track record in implementing internal controls framework and new SOX implementations Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, with one or more professional certifications such as CPA or CIA Strong understanding of core aspects of enterprise control - risk, controls, technical knowledge of SOX, COSO, and IFRS. Excellent stakeholder management skills and strong communication skills. Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate dispersed internal and external teams globally. Result and execution-oriented. Able to be effective in a fast-paced environment; be bold and roll up his or her sleeves and get into the details. Adaptable and effective at navigating complexity and making a structure out of it.
