Are you a final year student or a fresh Mechanical / Energy Engineering graduate with less than 1 year of experience? Your opportunity to supercharge your career is here at Vertiv We're on the lookout for future innovators to join our R&D dynamic department in Tognana, Piove di Sacco (Italy).

What will you do in our team?

  • Manage the development of new R&D products in the data center cooling sector for high profile and well known global datacenter customers.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high performance, cost effective design and market-leading innovation.
  • Undertaking the direct responsibility of the selection and sizing of the main performing components and design layout for standard and special products.
  • Meet objectives of cost, quality time of execution, achieving the best trade-off between market and internal customer needs.
  • Analyze and resolve technical problems as regards products under his/her responsibility.

What will make you successful?

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Energy Engineering.
  • Thermodynamics and refrigeration knowledge, HVAC design, Hydronic design, some 2D/3D CAD design.
  • Process Skills: Demonstrates structural process capabilities with focus on continuous improvements.
  • Communication: Demonstrates excellent listening and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Initiative: Works independently and is highly motivated to initiate and accept new challenges.
  • Imagination/Problem Solving: able to assess problems, break them down into component issues and determine appropriate timely and cost effective solutions.
  • English – excellent level – written and spoken.
  • Competences: result-oriented, team player, careful to details, flexible.
  • Strong PC skills in particularly on Microsoft Excel.
  • Available to travel if needed.
