Job Details Job Location : Austria - Austria, MN Salary Range : Undisclosed Description Bio-Techne is a leading supplier of life science products to the research industry. The company is growing at a fast pace both organically and through acquisitions. The European headquarters is based in Abingdon, with a manufacturing facility in Bristol and subsidiaries in Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic. Position Summary: Experienced field engineer to service revolutionary protein analysis instrumentation. The successful candidate will be a key member of a field team responsible for maintaining instruments and supporting customers to a high standard across Italy and frequent in Europe. Essential Duties & Responsibilities : • Customer and Instrument support Deliver onsite customer facing and Home-based remote support to diagnose and independently repair complex electro-mechanical scientific instruments in a laboratory environment. Ability to prepare samples for instrument testing as required, basic laboratory skills essential. Field based role with extensive daily travel. • Schedule, Administration and Inventory management Works independently with minimal direct supervision. Manage and schedule customer appointments till completion and on occasion the creation of detailed technical paperwork and support documents. Timely submission of service reports to clients and monthly expense / travel claims. Management of personal inventory for successful repairs and field support • Support of sales and field applications team Work collaboratively to support the sales team with pre and post sales enquiries and tasks. Support the field applications team both remotely and onsite to ensure successful resolution of complex customer situations and issues. Qualifications Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Fluent Business English and German
  • BA, Masters in an engineering / science field or 5 years’ experience in hi-tech sector
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial / scientific sector, preferably in a similar industry
  • Personal Computer repair skills and strong computer skills set, (Windows and Microsoft products)
  • Ability to travel as necessary – Travel 90%
