Our busy hotel is looking for an exceptional director of sales and marketing to develop a revenue plan that maximizes profitability for daily sales in areas such as rooms, dining, catering, and events. We need someone willing to be the brand's voice and manage the marketing budget to produce property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral to generate revenue and meet property targets for two hotels (Springhill Suites and Quality Inn) in Placentia, CA. Responsibilities
- Actively seek new business using marketing campaigns, telemarketing, e-commerce, site visits, and other methods
- Recruit, train, and develop your team to serve your customers better
- Assess the company's success by consulting with sales managers and stakeholders
- Produce accurate sales reports that include marketing budgets, current market share, direct sales, and outline marketing strategies
- Create and implement short and long-term marketing strategies to meet sales team goals and annual sales targets
- Generate new business while also increasing customer loyalty by cultivating long-term relations with patrons
- Analyze market trends to determine pricing that balances costs, competition, and supply and demand
Qualifications
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- 5+ years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably with some experience in a sales management role
- Strong understanding of marketing strategies and best practices
- High diploma or GED and a bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing or hospitality
- Computer skills are needed for this position, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
