Import Logistics Specialist, Global Logistics Job ID: 3069990 | Amazon Czech Republic Srvcs Amazon is looking for an experienced Logistics Specialist/Analyst for this Amazon Global Logistics (AGL) new team. AGL is dedicated to building, managing and operating a global logistics network that enables selection from anywhere in the world and delivers customer orders to anywhere in the world, cost effectively. As part of this strategy, we have established a locally based Amazon Global Logistics team in the EU that is responsible for the performance of our carriers, related to the international transportation of inbound shipments for Sellers. This local team has the responsibility to work in close collaboration with the AGL and Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) teams worldwide, developing capabilities, products and carrier strategies that continue to improve our product offerings for Sellers and expand new services. The local team will also work closely with the local Transportation and Operations team to leverage existing agreements, assets and capabilities to strengthen our product offering to sellers and extend our reach to customers across the world. The EU team will also have access to AGL teams globally, based in India, US, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Brazil and China, ensuring that we continue to link our Origin capabilities with Destination needs to reduce transportation and shipping costs and improve our on‐time and in‐full performance metric and delivery promise. A Logistics Specialist/Analyst facilitates the flow of information between different stakeholders (Logistics Service Providers (LSP)/Sellers/Customs/Product Managers/Supply Chain) and resolves any potential issues that affect Seller Experience and delivery performance. The analyst provides timely resolution to the issue in hand by researching and querying internal tools, making real‐time decisions, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders over phone or email. Responsibilities Conduct deep dive analysis of performance combining internal and external data sources Systematically resolve problems with data integrity and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered Quickly understand the business impact of trends and make quality data‐driven decisions Prioritize, optimize and deliver timely updates for all key metrics Graphically visualize data to allow easy access to large sets of information and understanding for a broad range of people Develop automation solutions for reports, tools and processes Deliver operational improvements using a data‐driven approach to root cause analysis and solution design Maintain continual, tactical communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (FBA, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers) Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs while measuring and identifying activities performed Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Mathematics or similar field Experience in an operational environment with proven ability to thoroughly understand processes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive change Fluent in English (written and verbal communication) Working knowledge of data and analytics, business intelligence Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Mathematics or similar field Performance Management experience Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma tool set Project management experience Skills in SQL, ETL, Data Warehouse solutions and databases.
