Purpose of the Role
The Senior Account Manager will work closely with the Account Director and Account Manager to deliver solutions aligned with both operational and financial goals. This hands-on role involves managing projects and executing key tasks in daily operations. The ideal candidate will balance immediate project needs with supporting long-term strategic objectives, bringing a solid understanding of packaging, technical aspects, and commercial experience. A proven track record of delivering client solutions and building lasting relationships is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence & Growth
- Collaborate with the Account Director to ensure the day-to-day operations run smoothly, maintaining high standards and supporting business growth locally and globally.
- Lead multiple projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and client commitments are met while driving business growth.
- Collaborate closely with the Account Director to support the development and growth of the Account Manager, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance team performance and operational excellence.
- Coordinate with internal service teams and external partners to align with client objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both local and global client stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with production suppliers to secure competitive pricing, negotiate cost savings, and ensure timely delivery of quality products that meet client expectations.
- Anticipate client needs and deliver customized, high-quality solutions with a professional, solutions-oriented approach in all interactions.
Project Management & Technical Expertise
- Lead the entire lifecycle of projects, including managing a biannual order window, ensuring deadlines are met, and key tasks such as order processing, invoicing, and BI reporting are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Provide technical direction on projects to both the client and internal teams, confidently addressing and challenging suppliers as needed.
Strategic Contribution & Sustainability
- Support strategic planning efforts and assist in the creation of presentations to meet both client and business goals.
- Identify and drive opportunities for sustainable packaging solutions, innovating for both business and client needs.
Compliance
- Ensure all projects comply with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, and company guidelines, delivering exceptional client service.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Packaging Expertise
- Extensive experience overseeing packaging projects from concept to delivery, with a solid understanding of the manufacturing process.
Project Management
- Expertise in leading multiple projects simultaneously across suppliers, managing timelines, resources, and costs effectively to ensure the successful delivery of all project phases.
Client Service & Relationship Management
- Proven ability to manage senior-level client relationships, deliver exceptional results, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement both locally and internationally.
Commercial Experience
- Proficient in cost optimization, project cost calculations, and setting competitive prices to ensure profitability while delivering client value.
Analytical Skills
- Support in forecasting and data analysis with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships, influence senior client stakeholders, and collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
Problem-Solving & Adaptability
- Skilled in managing multiple priorities and solving complex challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in Italian and intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English.
Software Proficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and order management tools.
