Your mission
You will be part of a cross-functional team of infrastructure engineers, backend developers, frontend developers, data scientists and data engineers, working on Vedrai's software products. We are looking for someone who understands and can contribute to our software development life cycle. You will be the champion that will take our software quality metrics to the next level, and help us provide the best possible product experience to our users, in terms of security, performance, stability, and availability.

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues successfully.
  • Communicate the quality and health metrics regularly to the product team.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust information security strategy and framework.
  • Lead the design and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor and assess current and emerging security threats and vulnerabilities, and develop proactive strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Oversee the management of security incidents and provide expert guidance on incident response and remediation.
  • Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and penetration tests to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, and other departments to ensure security compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Develop and deliver security training and awareness programs for employees.
  • Manage and mentor the information security team, fostering a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with the latest security trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.

Your experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar role, working on software products.
  • Professional experience in programming in at least one of these languages: Python, JavaScript or Bash.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing comprehensive security strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with security technologies and tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and encryption.
  • Knowledge of one or more distributed version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Ability to write comprehensive and clear defect reports and RFEs.
  • Ability to write readable, clear, and complete technical documentation.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree with a scientific focus.
  • Experience as a developer or administrator on private and public clouds (such as AWS).
  • Any relevant and certified training in continuous improvement frameworks (e.g. Lean Six Sigma).
  • Experience with Big Data and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
