About AC Power Global Large Converter COE DepartmentThe AC Power Global Large Converter COE department designs large power Uninterruptible Power Supply and converters from a mechanical and electrical standpoint. The team executes engineering tests, verifies that the product meets the design requirements, executes value engineering analysis to reduce the cost of the product, supports field engineers for special applications in the field, and assists in service for field issues. They implement specific customer requirements through the ETO process. Products may have global scope as well as regional scope.
We are Hiring - Control EngineerWe are actively seeking a Control Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bologna, Italy As a Control Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing control architecture from a FW and HW standpoint, creating functional and architectural specifications, defining validation tests, and providing active support and service for specific applications.
Responsibilities- Design control architecture specifications working in an international environment with FW and HW teams.
- Analyze Software already implemented to understand the functionalities.
- Support the testing team for the definition of the test plan and review the test results.
- Test and validate the Software in accordance with the standard procedures.
- Cooperate with other functions during the definition of the product specification.
- Support the service team remotely or directly at Customer sites to solve problems.
- Produce technical documentation in line with process requirements.
- Closed Loop Techniques: Discrete dominion; CLARK & PARK; D/Q & Alpha/Beta dominions.
- PWM modulation and space vector.
- Control modeling for MATLAB & Simulink
- Proficiency in Language C
- Understanding of the main operating systems concepts: processes, memory management, file systems, task manager.
- Knowledge in software versioning tools like CVS, SVN, GIT.
- Knowledge on power converters.
- Customer-oriented and availability to travel.
- Good team working attitude and communication skills.
- Good English language knowledge.
University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control or equivalent. 1-5 years of experience.
