Our Electrification Products Division is looking for a Project Engineer who will work in the Business Unit Protection and Connection located in Dalmine.

In the role of Project engineer, you will act as the responsible engineer for projects with different levels of complexity:

  • Engineering discipline leader on small projects or portions of larger projects.
  • Complete engineering assignments efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

This position reports to Project Operations Manager.

Your responsibilities

  • Engineering development of protection relays and control systems.
  • Programming project-specific applications efficiently and meeting customer requirements, ensuring proper functionality and interfacing to other systems.
  • Carrying out acceptance testing (FAT and SAT) of Protection and Control systems in cooperation with other colleagues and customers, following health and safety regulations.
  • Creating and reviewing technical customer documentation for your projects.
  • Participating in the commissioning of the application on customer sites.

Your background

  • Technical Diploma or degree in software, electrical, automation, computer engineering, or related.
  • Good general working knowledge on HMIs, PLCs, and I/Os, preferably with ABB products, as well as on Windows-based operating systems.
  • Understanding of control system topologies and communication protocols.
  • Willingness to travel is required to ensure successful project delivery completion.
