Marine & Certification HSE Advisor to join its office in Genoa, Italy
within the RINA Services QOHSE Division.


Mission:

Key Accountabilities:

Compliance Monitoring:

  • Ensure that the organization complies with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and track changes in regulations and update relevant stakeholders.

HSSE Risk Assessment:

  • Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace.
  • Collaborate with other departments to analyze and mitigate risks.

Training and Education:

  • Support the development and delivery of HSSE training programs for employees.
  • Help create educational materials to promote awareness of health and safety issues.

Incident Investigation:

  • Participate in investigations of accidents, incidents, or nearmisses to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
  • Assist in the documentation of incidents and the implementation of corrective actions.

Data Analysis:

  • Collect and analyze HSSE data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports on HSSE performance and make recommendations based on the analysis.

Emergency Response Planning:

  • Contribute to the development and testing of emergency response plans.
  • Assist in organizing drills and training exercises for emergency situations.

Inspections and Audits:

  • Support regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSSE policies and procedures.
  • Document findings and work with relevant teams to address any deficiencies.

Communication:

  • Assist in the communication of HSE policies and procedures to employees.
  • Participate in HSE meetings and collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records related to HSSE activities.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory agencies and internal audits.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HSSE processes and procedures.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate relevant updates into the HSSE program.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Other

Qualifications:

  • Having certifications related to International standards related to Management Systems (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc )
  • OSHA 30Hour or OSHA 10Hour General Industry Certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health).
  • ASP (Associate Safety Professional) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional).
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations is crucial.
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends related to health, safety, security and environmental performance.
