About the role:

The Sales Director will be responsible for leading the direct sales people focusing on New Logo in Large Enterprise and in Large Strategic Accounts in the various target verticals (banking and finance, finished goods industry, utilities, automotive, transportation, luxury goods, large distribution and so on).


In addition to the direct responsibilities on the sales team, the Sales Director will have responsibility for the definition of the TML, and the related order and revenue target to meet the region growth ambition.

Key responsibilities will include:
Full responsibility for Enterprise & Direct Sales

Evolve and execute sales strategy to achieve 2020 Italy and Region objectives

Create and deliver a Go to Market strategy aligned to meet the annual sales and corporate objectives

Distributing and setting sales quotas appropriately


Drive growth across all areas, in particular focusing on strategic lines of business including: security, cloud, contact center, IOT and data analytics.

Lead on IT transformational strategic customer engagements

Engage and leverage a broad group of senior stakeholders across Marketing, Product Domains, Customer Service and Delivery

Leading the negotiation of complex, multi-year multi service contracts.

Working with internal Business Units and Partners to develop services to create compelling and sustainable solutions

Manage relationships with Partner Vendors to create new market opportunities

Create a detailed and continuous marketing plan to drive Target Markets and account opportunity development

Develop detailed market approach plans to secure resources and executive engagements

Represent Italy at European resource and finance committees

Chair Italy Deal Approval Committee to secure opportunity resource

Provide accurate detailed weekly reports to the Managing Director South Europe

Contribute to the Culture and Success of Orange in Italy markets with ideas and energy

About you:

Sales Expertise:
Detailed understanding of addressable market, accounts and opportunities

Target setting on orders and revenue

Ability and experience to develop and execute a sale strategy

Ability to consistently generate new sales opportunities via marketing campaigns

Ability to drive solution-related IT transformation discussions with customers at C-level

Superior negotiation and selling skills

Proven ability to measure and monitor achievements against KSO and Order targets

Effective Communication:
Well-developed communication and soft-skills in Italian and English languages

The ability to construct and deliver effective presentations

Ability to engage with industry analysts

Nice to haves:
Degree in Engineering, IT Business Management, Economics

Demonstrate achievement outside of business (sport, community, etc.)

English language is mandatory, French and or Spanish would be a plus.

Certifications/accreditation in relevant areas
