Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Setting up tables according to the restaurant's standards
  • Arranging table settings, linens, and tableware
  • Greeting guests as they arrive at the restaurant
  • Escorting guests to their tables
  • Make our guests feel at ease and create a great experience
  • Assisting with the service of beverages
  • Ensure a coherent wine and beverage concept, aligned with the kitchen concept
  • Communicating effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Ensure an outstanding and smooth evening service
  • Closing of the restaurant in coordination with the Maitre
  • Clean agreed designated areas, in accordance with laiddown procedures, morning/evening routines, and hygiene requirements

Core Competencies:

  • Fluent in English & Italian is a must
  • 2+ years of hospitality experience is a plus
  • Must be a natural host and passionate about the hospitality industry in general
  • Flexible schedule long hours and regular evening event coverage can be necessary
  • Ability to make thoughtful decisions and give constructive criticism
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by guests
  • Maintains regular attendance in compliance with Aethos Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
  • Comply with Aethos Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Maximizes efforts towards productivity, identifies problem areas, and assists in implementing solutions
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, whilst remaining genuine
