We're looking for a systems engineer to join our expanding Italian team. As a key player, you will customize existing flight-qualified platforms like the ION Satellite Carrier Vehicle and design new advanced missions. Your goal is to ensure safe orbital flights, provide mission-critical services, and ensure successful mission completion.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee critical subsystems and mission phases
  • Contribute to systems architecture and subsystems design
  • Collaborate with specialists on systems and subsystems design
  • Manage systems and subsystems budgeting
  • Coordinate integration of different subsystems
  • Manage stakeholder requirements
  • Support AIV team and related activities
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and testing teams
  • Author technical documents

Professional Experience:

We are looking for individuals with at least one year of experience in spacecraft design and development.

Job Requirements:

  • Understanding of Systems Engineering principles
  • Familiarity with spacecraft subsystems
  • Knowledge of data bus architectures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proactive attitude and teamwork
  • Experience with Matlab and Python
  • Proficiency in requirements configuration management tools
  • Basic software development and configuration management knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Mission analysis tools
  • Experience in space transportation and servicing
  • Linux knowledge
  • Understanding of ECSS/NASA standards

Education:

University degree in Aerospace/Space Engineering

Language:

Professional proficiency in English is required for this role.
