The Global Upstream Product Specialist will develop and commercialize procedural solutions that drive the existing products, enhance and/or create procedures, and increase clinical and economic efficiencies for the core product markets in Renal Care Solution.
In this role he/she will be a part of shaping the direction of our business through global procedural strategies and project execution within a given therapy segment.
Specifically, he/she will be the marketing core team leader contributing to a cross-functional organization for the development of new product to serve home dialysis treatments.
So, will work with Regional Downstream Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, Clinical, Quality, and other functional areas to identify key product needs, specifications, messaging and value-added program solutions across the globe.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of the clinical needs for the specific segment for which they serve.- Assist with prioritizing market & customer needs, translate into new product requirements that fit into a procedural solution. They will also align business stakeholders around key strategic opportunities.
- Assist in articulating needs to provide direction for product development, clinical, operations and other functions critical to bringing a therapy to market
- Be involved in driving global programs from business case to feasibility to commercialization
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market, sales and financial analysis for current and/or new markets, products and procedure opportunities.
- Work with the competitive intelligence group, R&D and regional downstream marketing to develop market/product research plans to generate and confirm clinical needs and customer requirements.
- Identify episode of care clinical needs, product and technology gaps, and develop customer requirements.
- Conduct competitive position analysis of company products/procedures and recommend product styling, quality changes.
- Develop product messaging and marketing collaterals such as Marketing Materials
- R&D Project support as needed
- Work with regulatory affair department for the MDR transition activities development
- Monitor the quality of the existing products on field and connect with the complaint management dept
- Determine market opportunity for future feasibility
Must Have:
- Bachelor or master's degree required
- At least 5+ years of relevant experience in marketing, engineering, clinical
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of Renal care disease
- Healthcare/ Medical Devices experience
- Downstream product marketing, Upstream product marketing or development with launch experience
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to convey complex information in a simple and effective manner
- Creative thinker that can develop bold plans for gaining market share in a complex market
- Advanced analytical skills (market trends, financials, etc)
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and build strong working relationship
