WHOM WE ARE LOOKING FOR: As IT Application Manager, you will be a strategic advisor and trusted partner to business leaders, ensuring that IT is not just a support function, but a true enabler of business success. In this role, you will lead the digital transformation journey—accelerating cloud adoption, integrating AI and advanced analytics, and unlocking the power of data to deliver measurable business outcomes. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into technology solutions, and ensure IT investments deliver real value. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES: Serve as the primary IT contact for some departments of FPT Business Unit, building strong relationships with business leaders and acting as a strategic advisor on technology-driven business opportunities. Identify and champion innovative IT solutions that drive business growth, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage. Lead cloud transformation initiatives (AWS, Azure), and drive the adoption of AI and data analytics platforms (Databricks) to empower data-driven decision making. Translate business requirements into actionable IT projects, ensuring alignment with global strategy and measurable business impact. Oversee Application Management Services (AMS), ensuring high service quality and continuous improvement. Manage IT vendors and contracts to maximize value and ensure best-in-class service delivery. Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, data protection, and governance standards. Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to harmonize processes and share best practices. Monitor and report on IT performance, project progress, and business outcomes to senior management. Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and customer focus within the IT organization. REQUIRED EXPERIENCES & SKILLS 7 years of IT management experience, with a strong focus on business partnering, project delivery, and digital transformation. Proven ability to translate business needs into technology solutions that deliver measurable value. Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), enterprise systems (SAP, CRM), and data analytics tools (Databricks). Strong project management skills (PMP®, Prince2®, ITIL® certifications are a plus). Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement abilities. Analytical mindset, business acumen, and adaptability. Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. fluent English (mandatory) and Italian (mandatory); French and other languages are a plus. Strategic thinking and business orientation. Visionary leadership and a passion for innovation. Ability to build trust and influence at all levels of the organization. Customer-centric approach with a focus on quality and reliability. Commitment to continuous learning and technological advancement. High ethical standards and attention to compliance.
