GBV Associate

All UNHCR staff members are accountable to perform their duties as reflected in their job description within their delegated authorities and in line with the regulatory framework of UNHCR including the UN Charter, UN Staff Regulations and Rules, UNHCR Policies and Administrative Instructions, and relevant accountability frameworks. Staff members are expected to fulfill their responsibilities while embodying UNHCR's core values of professionalism, integrity, and respect for diversity.Duties:

• Assist in coordinating meetings and activities related to the GBV sub-working group or Protection Working Group.
• Support the development of coordination tools like referral pathways.
• Contribute to safety audits and relevant assessments.
• Analyze GBV trends and gaps, prepare briefing notes and reports.
• Provide support for GBV risk mitigation and intervention design.
• Offer technical guidance on GBV minimum standards to partners and government counterparts.
• Conduct field visits for GBV partner monitoring and reporting.
• Provide GBV case management services for high-risk survivors and complex cases.
• Supervise UNHCR staff in GBV case management and support capacity building initiatives.
• Ensure survivor-centred approach in all activities.
• Enforce protection standard operating procedures and GBV minimum standards.
• Identify and manage risks, escalate concerns, and support decision-making.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

• 3 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma; or 2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree or higher

• Human rights, Social Anthropology, Social work,
• Law, International Development, Social Sciences, or other relevant field.

• For International Professional and Field Service jobs: Knowledge of English and UN working language of the duty station if not English.
• For National Professional jobs: Knowledge of English and UN working language of the duty station if not English and local language.
• For General Service jobs: Knowledge of English and/or UN working language of the duty station if not English.
