They are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager in Italy to lead their business development activities in Italy.

The Business Development Manager Italy is responsible for the direct sales of their services and software in the private and research market in the assigned region.

This position is responsible for developing sales strategies and tactics that achieve the revenue goals of the assigned region through direct and indirect channels.

They endeavor to shape a future where global advancements in biotechnology positively impact lives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth in Italy.
  • Achieve the quarterly and annual sales and profit plan as assigned.
  • Set up, lead and mentor highperforming Regional sales teams, providing guidance and support to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Submit short and longterm sales plans.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including business development, marketing and product development, to optimize sales efforts.
  • Collaborate in search of suppliers and negotiate purchase terms of certain services
  • Represent the company at trade events.
  • Use various lead generation tools to enhance the lead pipeline.
  • Update the CRM system and manage the sales pipeline by reporting opportunity evolution and probabilities.
  • Monitoring and negotiation of agreements and contracts, coordination with Legal.
Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership, within the bioinformatics, life sciences / IVD Industry
  • Strong network and understanding of the omics market in the assigned territory o Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Understanding of omics sciences and technologies
  • Proven track record of managing midlevel and highlevel contacts o A developing record of customer contacts at the outsourcing, procurement and mid – management level
  • Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken. Spanish and French are beneficial
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work creatively in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Strong organizational, planning, project management skills
  • Excellent Business/Industry awareness and a thorough understanding of industry trends and impact on the business
