RINA is looking for a Marine Floating Offshore Sector Senior Surveyor to join its team in Livorno, Genoa, or La Spezia, Italy in the Marine Special Ships Excellence Centre Division.

Main Responsibilities
  • Professional Specialist:
    - Apply expert knowledge of maritime Rules, Regulations, and industry concepts.
    - Stay updated on industry developments and recommend improvements to surveying processes and safety programs.
  • Inspection and Reporting:
    - Conduct routine surveys on ships, platforms, or marine structures to ensure compliance with requirements.
    - Prepare accurate and timely inspection reports.
  • File Maintenance:
    - Organize and update survey files within assigned area.
  • Leadership and Coordination:
    - Plan, schedule, and coordinate surveying work phases.
    - Provide guidance to lower-level surveyors.
  • Client Interaction:
    - Collaborate with clients to solve issues within expertise.
    - Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Naval Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of Surveyor experience
  • Proficiency in English
  • Knowledge of maritime regulations and RINA Rules
  • Understanding of shipbuilding practices and operations
  • Ability to perform surveys for new buildings and ships in service
  • Knowledge of ship engineering systems and relevant software
  • Competence in project work interfaces
