Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Software Architecture Design Engineer with at least 6 years of experience to join our team. This role involves developing and documenting software architecture designs ensuring that all software elements and interfaces are clearly defined. The successful candidate will also manage traceability between software requirements and architecture and handle tasks and defects using industrystandard tools.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

1) Develop and document software architecture design and define interfaces of each software element.

2) Generate bidirectional traceability reports between software requirements and the software architecture design.

3) Use PTC Modeler/Rhapsody to perform software architecture development tasks

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Document Architecture Design:

  • Design and document the software architecture identifying all key elements of the software.

  • Define clear and consistent interfaces for each software element ensuring seamless integration and interaction within the system.

  • Ensure that the architecture is scalable maintainable and aligned with overall system requirements and constraints.

  1. Generate Bidirectional Traceability Reports:

  • Establish and maintain bidirectional traceability between software requirements and the software architecture design.

  • Use traceability tools to document the relationships between software requirements and architecture components ensuring full coverage and alignment.

  • Generate and provide traceability reports to ensure transparency and to support reviews and audits.

  1. Task and Defect Management:

  • Use PTC Modeler IBM Rhapsody or similar tools to manage tasks and defects related to software architecture design.

  • Update and close relevant tasks and defects as the software architecture is developed validated and finalized.

  • Ensure that all changes to the software architecture are accurately documented communicated and reflected in the project management tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in software engineering Systems Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • 6 years of experience in software architecture design with a focus on complex embedded systems.

  • Proficiency in software architecture modeling tools such as PTC Modeler IBM Rhapsody or similar.

  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles including software design patterns architecture frameworks and interface definition.

  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to design and optimize complex software architectures.

  • Strong communication collaboration and leadership skills with experience working in crossfunctional teams.

  • Experience in generating traceability reports and conducting formal reviews of software architecture.

  • Strong understanding of the software VCycle and the Automotive SPICE 3.0 process reference model

  • Familiarity with C and/or C.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the automotive industry

  • Experience with modelbased systems engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques.

  • Experience with automotive HVAC controllers
