As a Product Service Engineer - Aero Gas Turbines, you'll play a vital role with our customers, providing technical support to the installed base of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines, carrying out Root Cause Analysis for major failures, and contributing to the continuous improvement of LM and PGT Gas Turbine families.
As a Product Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the installed base of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines, working on technical cases resolution and investigations.
- Leading Root Cause Analysis, cooperating with laboratories (metallurgical analysis, oil analysis), design departments, and data scientists.
- Analyzing fleet data and recurrent failure modes to propose technical improvements for the product.
- Cooperating with Remote Monitoring Centers to fully leverage data and analytics to support the fleet.
- Working in close cooperation with Service Technology and Contractual Service teams to manage customer technical issues, minimizing impact on customer production and preserving engines' integrity.
- Communicating effectively to internal and external customers solutions of cases and results of investigations and root cause analysis.
- Developing new products and services for IET customers.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a MSc in Engineering, ideally Mechanical or Aeronautical.
- Have a deep knowledge of GE LM Aeroderivative Gas Turbines.
- Be familiar with Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
- Have a strong knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools and a good analytical mindset.
- Be a self-starter and prone to get out of the comfort zone.
- Have fluent oral and written communication in English and Italian.
- Prior experience in field maintenance/customer-facing roles or in a design engineering team.
- Be familiar with reverse engineering tools and techniques.
- Have knowledge of data science disciplines and programming with Python.
