About the Role:
Kariera Group recruitment services are actively seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client in Milan, Italy on a 30 month contract. Please note the candidate will be required to work on a freelance/self employed basis.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to review Design and develop mechanical systems and components based on project specifications and requirements.
- Understanding of detailed drawings and specifications.
- Conduct stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fluid dynamics simulations to validate designs and ensure performance under operating conditions.
- Utilize software tools such as ANSYS or COMSOL or equal for simulation and analysis.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASME, ASTM).
- Perform inspections and testing of mechanical systems to verify performance and quality.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers. Identify and resolve technical issues, proposing innovative solutions.
- Ensure adherence to local, national, and international regulations.
Requirements:
- BSC Degree or equivalent in oil and gas.
- EPIC and Oil and gas experience/Fluency in English and Italian.
- Experience using Engineering Design Software (e.g., AutoCAD), SAP2000, ANSYS or similar, Microsoft office, Utilize process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) to model and evaluate process performance.
- Computer skills required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Organization skills: Time Management, Task management, Planning, Attention to Detail, Problem-Solving, Communication.
- PMP or similar, Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE), ASME Certifications, Safety Certifications, Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
