We are currently seeking an Engineering Coordinator, DX EMEA to join our dynamic team in Tognana, Italy

The Engineering Coordinator is part of the Thermal Management team within the Engineering Department. In this role you will be mainly focused on the Direct Expansion products for Data Center cooling. You will play a crucial role in the design and development of our innovative products. You will manage product development projects in the R&D and Engineering Department. You will be responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of a project, over cross functional groups, directed toward strategic business and other organizational objectives. The role also has a heavy operational element in carrying out component selections, thermodynamic designs, conceptual layouts etc.

What kind of work will you be doing?

  • Coordinate the project team for the development of new products.
  • Develop reporting and tracking programs to assure the project is on target for schedule and cost.
  • Identify key issues and drive decisions to ensure that the project does not slip. Identify key risks and have a contingency plan.
  • Communicate with other managers, upper management, or outside vendors and other plants, as required.
  • Responsible that the project is following the NPDP, New Product Develop Process, and reporting the progress to the NPDP.
  • Operational responsibility for the thermodynamic design and numerical calculations of specific projects.
  • Lead the design of new products or re-engineer existing ones, collaborating with Marketing, Procurement and Industrial Engineering, being aware of the customer’s needs.
  • Support product production transfer from and to other locations, interface with main center of expertise, understand and manage bill of materials.
  • Deliver a fast and customer focused response on “engineered to order complex” (ETO-C) projects, where a new solution is based on an existing and well proven platform.
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning and project execution.

What will make you successful?

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Energy Engineering or a related field is required, Master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of previous working experience in the HVAC industry, preferably on similar projects.
  • Technical skills: good knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles are essential.
  • Know-how of HVAC products, technical standards (i.e. CE, MD, PED) and manufacturing processes.
  • English – Intermediate level – written and spoken.
  • A high level of motivation combined with leadership abilities is required.
  • Competences: result-oriented, team player, careful to details, flexible, attitude for teamwork.
  • Initiative: Works independently and is highly motivated to initiate and accept new challenges.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
